“Presented in collaboration with George Catlin’sAmerican Buffalo, an exhibition on view at Reynolda House Museum of AmericanArt, this new mini-exhibit showcases Plains Indians objects from the MOA’spermanent collection. Exhibit highlights include beaded moccasins from the Creeand Lakota Sioux tribes as well as two rare Comanche painted hide robes, ondisplay together for the first time. The artifacts on view present an exclusivelook at the height of Plains Indian culture.”

“The Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts willhost “Rituals: An Evening of Dance” in the Mountcastle Forum on Thursday, August20 and Friday, August 21 at 7:30 p.m. These concerts will feature an evening ofpiano and dance, music by Bach, new work by local composer, Eric Schwartz, andchoreography by Wake Forest dance faculty Christina Soriano and Amy LoveBeasley and Appalachian State University dance faculty Cara Hagan.”
