Laurelyn Dossett hosts an evening of songs focused on issues of social justice featuring North Carolina’s preeminent singer/songwriters: Bhi Bhiman, Laurelyn Dossett, Alice Gerrard, Rhiannon Giddens, Django Haskins, Molly McGinn, & emcee Preston Lane. This special evening, Songs of Hope & Justice, will feature words and music from the folk canon of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Odetta and more – plus new original songs about today’s social issues.

The 75th Annual National Folk Festival is a large, FREE outdoor event that features performances and demonstrations by over 300 of the nation’s finest musicians, dancers, and craftspeople. The site for the National Folk Festival NC is in downtown Greensboro and partially within Greensboro’s vibrant Elm Street district.
