What: First Friday Housing Hangout at CHCS

When: Friday at 12:00pm – 2:00pm

Where: 3605 MHRA Building, 607 Forest Street, UNC Greensboro Campus

With snacks provided the CHCS team meets every First Friday to discuss community networking, community planning, and creative solutions to providing affordable fair housing in the Triad. Please come sit in on ongoing conversations impacting your city. Join community members, UNCG professor, grad students and research assistants with your thoughts questions and concerns about housing in the Triad.

When: January to March: 9am to Noon – April to December: 8am to Noon

Where: Corner of Walker and S. Elam Avenue (Parking lot of Sticks and Stones)

The Corner Market is a year round sidewalk market located at the corner of Walker and S. Elam Avenue, Greensboro, NC, USA.

The market adds to Greensboro’s alternatives to the big box retail world and provides a great place to meet neighbors, and shop for regional and local food and products.

The market includes experienced growers, and many folks from the neighborhood including those trying to create a new way to make ends meet, the neighborhood school, and children’s lemonade stands.

While you are there, you can also check out the other businesses on the corner for groceries, meals, and coffee, including a rave breakfast at Sticks and Stones.

The Storybook Soiree is the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem’s largest annual fundraiser, featuring cocktails, small plates, a silent auction, and music. This year’s theme is based on the world renowned Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, and will be held at the Millennium Center in downtown Winston-Salem on Friday, September 11th at 7pm. $80 per adult ticket.
