18 TEXAS PETE CULINARY ART FESTIVAL

WHAT: Come celebrate the largest culinary showcase in the Triad! Ten local and regional musical acts will perform on two stages. The event takes place on Trade Street between 5th and 8th, and on 6th Street between Liberty Street and Cherry Street. There will be beer, wine, and fun! WHAT: NC is home to more than 122,000 Native American, the largest indigenous population east of the Mississippi River. Dance competition, beginning with our toddlers & ending with our elders will be held throughout the weekend. Arts & Crafts traders will be demonstrating & selling their ware. WHAT: HPUniverse Day is a free educational outreach event for Triad kids and families held in the Department of Physics at High Point University in the Fall. Visitors are encouraged to explore space, science, and beyond through 20 different learning stations and activities. Build a comet from dry ice! Hear about recent developments in astronomy! WHAT: A part of the 17DAYS Arts & Culture Festival, ‘Home Again Before Yesterday’ is a multi-media performance event combining dance, music and visual art and performance installation about home, history and family lineage. A collaboration between artists, each looks at the central theme of family lineage.
