WHAT: Instructed by Laura Maruzzella, this workshop will guide participants in abstract painting processes as they create works with a variety of colors, textures, and designs all without a paintbrush. WHAT: Stroll the exhibition halls of SECCA before an exciting presentation of Mussorgsky’s most famous work, Pictures at an Exhibition. WHAT: It seems especially fitting that the first rock opera, created as a concept album at the end of the turbulent 1960s, should have at its center a social and political rebel. Jesus’ meteor-like rise in renown provides, as the title suggests, a parallel to contemporary celebrity worship.
