Young entrepreneurs festival takes place in Greensboro on Friday

The inaugural Time Is Now Emerging Entrepreneurs Festival brings together students and young professionals for a celebration of innovation and an opportunity for networking at the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship in Greensboro on Friday. Hank Leber, the CEO and founder of Gonnabe.com, will be the keynote speaker. The festival is hosted by Growing Entrepreneurs Mentoring Students, a group based at UNCG.

Conference center and meeting space opens in Winston-Salem

The Enterprise and Banquet Center opens on Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the former Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club gymnasium at 1922 S. Martin Luther King Drive in Winston-Salem. The SG Atkins Community Development Corp. is the developer of the new conference center and meeting space. The open house will showcase 18 small businesses, including home healthcare services, digital media production, information technology consulting, “green” business lending, transportation and consumer products.
