VICTIM JUMPS FROM PARKING DECK

BUICK ON THE RUN

On Aug. 2, in Greensboro, Police observed a damaged 1994 Buick parked along the road around Merritt Drive and Immanuel Road. The car matched the description of a vehicle involved in a series of hit and runs in the same area. When officers began questioning Tori Stimpson, the driver of the Buick, about the accidents, she entered the car and fled the scene. After a brief, low-speed chase, the officer ended the pursuit with a “precision immobilization technique” to stop the car, less than one mile from the initial site of contact. After a moment, Stimpson drove away again and crashed the car into a nearby home at 3003 Immanuel Road. Stimpson appeared to be uninjured and was taken by EMS for physical and mental evaluation. This investigation is on-going, and charges are pending.

YOW ROAD GUNFIRE

Shots were fired at a home on Yow Road in Greensboro on Aug. 1. Four residents were inside the house when a black Ford Mustang convertible with a brown or tan top and tinted windows drove by and discharged several rounds of gunfire into the home. No injuries were reported, and no motive has been determined. The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on Yow Road.

A struggle ensued as the victim started chasing the suspect. However, the victim was assaulted and unable to continue chasing after the suspect. The suspect was described as a black male in his early to mid twenties, wearing black pants, a black and white Polo shirt and a black baseball cap.
