ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON IN WINSTON-SALEM
Carlton Cloud was brought to Forsyth Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back of the head on Oct. 9. He was awake and alert when he arrived. Officers discovered Cloud was in an argument with Kendreka Brown at the Citgo Station on Waughtown Street when she shot him. Brown later turned herself in. Brown has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
WOMAN KILLED IN ADAMS FARM
Greensboro police spoke with witnesses who said they heard gunshots at Steeplechase apartments on Adams Farm Parkway on Oct. 11. Police found 28-year old Anstin Cieria suffering from gunshot wounds in a stairwell. Ambulance took her to Moses Cone Hospital where she later died of her injuries. The suspect, 27year old Brandon Bender of the same address, was taken into custody and transported to Moses Cone Hospital for treatment.
ONE MURDER, NO SUSPECT
Alkhaafid Shumate, 34, who lived on West Meadowview Road in the Heritage House complex, was found dead at the scene by EMS on Monday. Greensboro police are investigating this case as a homicide, and they haven’t found a suspect yet.
THREE SUSPECTS NOW IN CUSTODY FOR TEEN MURDER
Keith Love, 21, of Greensboro, the third subject in the murder of 18-year old Joshua Gilmore, was transported to Greensboro Jail Central on Tuesday after being arrested in Philadelphia on Sept. 26 by members of the Philadelphia Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Gilmore was fatally shot in front of his residence at on Kindley Street at approximately 4:00 a.m. on July 30. Marisol Morris and Darius Wilder were both previously arrested in connection with the fatal shooting. The relationship between the three suspects, and the motive behind the shooting are being withheld to maintain the integrity of the investigation. All three are charged with first-degree murder and are confined in Greensboro Jail Central without bond.
