PIZZA DRIVER ROBBED
On Sunday, officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded and investigated a reported Common Law Robbery at 1608 E. Eleventh Street involving a pizza delivery driver for The New Yorker Pizza. The delivery driver said he was assaulted by two men and his delivery pizzas were stolen. Investigative steps located Dasean Thomas, 16, of Gray Street in the area of the incident. Thomas was identified and charged with Common Law Robbery and Resist/Delay/Obstruct and Officer. Investigation is continuing regarding identifying and locating the second subject involved.
Greensboro police responded to Darden Road at Pine Lake Drive on Sunday in reference to a robbery from person. The victim was walking near Holden Road and Vandalia Road when she was approached by a black-male subject who asked if she had any money before assaulting the victim and taking an undisclosed amount of money and property. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was described as a black-male, 6’0 tall, medium-build, wearing a mask and all black color clothing. The investigation is ongoing. The name and address of the victim is being withheld temporarily.
Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to 2901 Teresa Avenue on Nov. 26. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the victim, Ms. Brim. Ms. Brim reported the above described suspects forced entry into her home through the front door armed with handguns. Ms. Brim said she and her 11 year old granddaughter were inside the residence when this occurred.
After entry was gained by the suspects, Ms. Brim and her granddaughter were held at gun point while the residence was searched for items of value.
The suspects removed Ms. Brim’s purse, which contained an undisclosed amount of currency.
The suspects then left the residence on foot running towards Raleigh Avenue before entering an unknown type of vehicle. No one was injured during this incident. !
