SCHOOL EMPLOYEE CHARGED

A school employee from Greensboro is facing eight felony charges in connection with an inappropriate relationship he had with a minor. Scott Daniel Miller, 38 years of age, a speech pathologist at Kirkman Park Elementary School in High Point, was arrested by Greensboro Police Department Detectives a few hours ago following a five-month long investigation. Miller is accused of having sexual relations with a person under the age of 16 on at least two occasions last year. The victim is not a student at the school. Miller was arrested at his home at 700 Westland Dr Greensboro without incident. Miller is charged with two counts each of Crimes against Nature, Statutory Sex Offense, Indecent Liberties with a Child, and Statutory Rape.

CONVERSATIONAL THIEF

On January 17, 2015 at approximately 2:51 am, Officers responded to the area of South Greene Street and West McGee Street in reference to a robbery call. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with six victims who stated that they were waiting for a ride when they were approached by a female suspect. The suspect struck up a conversation with the victims near their vehicle at which time the suspect reached into the victim’s vehicle and took a handbag. The suspect then walked to a nearby vehicle where a confrontation ensued. The suspect brandished a handgun and then fled the area when one of the victims had advised they had called 911. Two of the victims sustained minor injuries which did not require medical treatment.

“GIVE IT UP”

At 8:25 p.m. on 1.19.2015″”Police responded to 716 Marsh Street in reference to a shooting. The victim stated she answered a knock on the back door and observed a subject standing there with his shirt pulled over his face. The subject displayed a handgun and ordered her to “give it up.”

She quickly shut the door””at which time a single shot was discharged through the door””striking the victim. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was described as a black-male in his 20’s wearing all black color clothing. !
