CAROLINA BREWING COMPANY TEAMS UP WITH DISTRIBUTOR CRAFT CENTRAL

Raleigh-based brewery being offered in Triad for the first time

From a Press Release

Chris Caffey, President and CEO of Craft Central, a dedicated craft beer distributor and division of Caffey Distributing in Greensboro, is excited to begin distribution of Carolina Brewing Company’s craft beers in the Triad region.

Carolina Brewing Company, based in Holly Springs, NC, celebrates their 20th anniversary as they enter the Winston-Salem and Greensboro-area markets for the first time. “We are eager to bring Triangle-based Carolina Brewing Company to the Triad,” said Caffey. “The craft beer drinkers in our area have spoken and we listened. We know this brand will prosper for many years to come.”

Founders of Carolina Brewing headed east from Seattle, Washington searching for a favorable economy that would support a local brewery. They found their home near Raleigh, North Carolina over 20 years ago. Now, having an established brand in the Triangle, Carolina Brewing decided it was time to expand. Their popular beers such as Carolina Pale Ale, Carolina India Pale Ale and Carolina Nut Brown Ale may now be enjoyed in the Triad through distribution with Craft Central.

“In our 20th year of business, we decided to start expanding our distribution,” said Joe Zonin, Owner and Sales Director of Carolina Brewing Company. “Caffey Distributing has a great reputation in the area for years of quality service. Their new Craft Central division shows their commitment to high-quality local breweries. It allows us the confidence to go into a new market with a very knowledgeable staff already in place.”

Caffey spoke excitedly as he spoke about how far the beer industry had come in just the last 10 years.

“For so long consumers had few choices,” said Caffey. “But we have watched a slow build and seen demand for craft beer grow and grow. Beer is a fascinating product. There is an art and a science to it. It blows my mind to see how the demand (for craft beer) has grown. “
