On Friday, February 19, Ziggy’s in Winston-Salem (170 W 9th St, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27101) will be hosting A Baity’s Benefit Reunion show at 7 p.m. This event is being held to honor the thousands of fans and musicians that visited Baity’s Music Garden in the 1980s and 1990s. This particular event will be a benefit for Susan G. Komen Northwest NC in memory of Sherri Roberts Biallis (2008) and Joan Marie Barrett (2013). In addition, the show is being dedicated to Peggy “Ma Baity” Ring, and Ralph Blanco, both of whom were part of the Baity’s family and friends and lost to other forms of cancer.

Members of Circus Baby and Typsy Gypsy have not played together in about 25 years and are re-uniting for this event.

Also performing will be Al Yountz, a Winston Salem native and nationally renowned comedian who now resides at Oak Island, NC, performing a 30-minute comedy act.

Host and MC will be Robert Fleischman from Chicago, Illinois, formerly lead singer of Journey.

Admission is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at and a couple other surprise locations that are announced on the Baity’s Music Garden Reunion Central Facebook page.

“This event was organized entirely online and with the support of all the members of the Baity’s Music Garden of Winston Salem Reunion Central Facebook page,” event organizer Cathy Pighini explained. “All the bands and entertainers are donating their talents to show their support of breast cancer awareness and their love of a bygone era of the best rock club ever.”
