Community Theatre buys building with support from Cones and Starrs

by Jordan Green

The Community Theatre of Greensboro has acquired its building.

The theater company purchased the building at 520 S. Elm St. — formerly the Broach Theatre — through a capital campaign that drew support from the Cone and Starr families.

The theater company is continuing to raise funds to support programing for teens; the CTG Youth Theatre program, including education and performances; and OnStage and InFocus, a collaboration between the theater company and UNCG for young people with disabilities.

The oldest arts organization in Guilford County, Community Theatre of Greensboro has been operating since 1949. !
