Welcome to Greensboro, Eric Gales.

The oft-incarcerated, guitar firebrand from Memphis has found himself a nice lady in town, so he’s making a home here in the 336. He’ll have a standing gig at Ziggy’s starting soon, so make him feel welcome. Gales played guitar on a couple of Three 6 Mafia records, so he might turn up with fellow 901er Juicy J for his Smoker’s Club Tour stop on Wednesday night at Greene Street Club. The Trippy One will be joined by future Cannabis Cup judges Smoke DZA, Chevy Woods, Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era. David Via and Juicy J going toe-to-toe would be the Foreman- Ali of frogswoggles, but give it to the crafty vet, who plays Tunes at Noon. Elsewhere, dreamy pop minimalists Dunes visit CFBG with Talk Show Hosts and Casual Curious. Nothing describes Misery Jackals better than their chosen genre of pillbilly browngrass. They’re at the Garage, while rasta-casians I-Vibes play the Blind Tiger.

On Thursday, Eryn Woods cribs equal parts Wendy O. Williams and Rihanna, achieves neither. She’ll play open for prettyboy pop duo School Boy Humor and yearbook insiders Voted Most Random. At the Green Bean, country-folk songwriter and world traveler Adam Klein join lo-fi artists Dallas on the Run and Sterling.

Jacqui Haggerty’s new band the Fair & the Foul return to the Green Bean on Friday, this time with the excellent indiefolk group Birds and Arrows and Daniel Levi Goans. Carolina Moonshine benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation with Bear With Me and Stop Motion at the Blind Tiger, and Mediocre Bad Guys benefit Jack Johnson fans everywhere with extra helpings of soul from Kaleigh Baker and Sunshone Still at the Garage.

Ziggy’s One Year Anniversary Party is on Saturday, but I stopped reading at the Plaids. Maybe check out the gut-punching rock of the Ghost Wolves and Deadbeat Darlings at the Garage. Otherwise, it’s Mantras-lite by ATV with Makayan at the Blind Tiger, and the Outliers and Elliot Smith with one ‘t’ at the Green Bean.

Laila Nur has a simple ambition: to have her music heard round the world. Help her make it happen and catch the good vibes of Oh Ginger and the incredible Shirlette Ammons at the Green Bean on Sunday.

Day Joy make lovely music at the Blind Tiger on Tuesday, but you really want to come early for some unbelieveably catchy dance pop by Wowser Bowser.
