Rise Records in the house at Greene Street Club on Wednesday with My Ticket Home with For All I Am, Guard My Ways and Her Echo. For the lunch crowd, Wurlitzer Prize offers a tasty set at Center City Park.

Antique Firearms bring moody, atmospheric rock from Asheville to the Blind Tiger on Tuesday with support from the Monkey Mind at the Blind Tiger. The Green Bean hosts solo songwriters Dallas On the Run and Cameron Hetteen, while FrazierBand wish you all a good metal health at Turntable. Next up in Winston- Salem’s Downtown Jazz series, vocalist and saxophonist Galvin Crisp Jr. joins guitarist Marc Antoine.

Spirit System are embarking on a mini Southern tour, and they’ll flood the Blind Tiger with dark psychedelia on Friday with support from Echo Crush, Torch Runner and Motorist. Greene Street Club hosts the Battle for Mayhem Festival, which doesn’t seem like much of a prize, and the Bo Stevens offer up another post-country gem with the release of Your Crazy Heart at the Garage with Truck Stop Darlin, Brother Dege and Straight 8’s. Songwriter Greg Trooper recalls Billy Bragg and Steve Earle at Fiddle and Bow, while Northern Spy Recs’ own Nymph visits the Flatiron.

Spirit System’s tour continues at Krankies on Saturday with Shana Falana, though Sonen has dropped off the bill. Dancehall stooge Collie Buddz stretches the longest day of the year a Ziggy’s on Saturday with New Kingston, while riotous NYC folk-rock duo the Whispering Trees visit the Green Bean with Nick Wes and Alan Peterson. Crystal Bright & the Silver Hands rock the Solstice at the Arboretum, and Possum Jenkins play Summer On Trade On Sunday, Black Mountain spawned Roberta Flack and now Kellin Watson, who will be at SECCA. India Cain and Keith Allen pair up for music at the Grove Winery, while Matty Sheets & the Blockheads celebrate the release of their debut with Eros & the Eschcaton and DRGN KING at the Flatiron. The Family and the Pizza Jams crew team up for two nights at the Blind Tiger, first for a birthday celebration, and then to celebrate the Dead on Monday.
