ROCK-SHRIMP TACOS AT BLOODY MARY’S

Downtown Greensboro’s award-winning restaurant Bloody Mary’s opened for lunch on May 15. Located on Elm Street, the oyster bar and grill features fresh seafood and more. Last week, I had the opportunity to sit down with owner Ashby Cook and sample one of the restaurant’s most popular items, rock-shrimp tacos.

The rock shrimp tacos are served on flour tortillas with a charred-mango salsa and Asian slaw. For my side, I went with the fries which I was informed were hand cut and seasoned very well. They were not your average fries: Very, very good. The shrimp tacos were hot and juicy and the mango salsa and Asian slaw boosted the flavor immensely.
