From Vegas with KISS
With more gold records than any other American rock group and its 2014 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, KISS has been blasting away for the better part of 40 years – entertaining a worldwide legion of fans with a patented blend of makeup, pyrotechnics, blood-spitting, hard-rocking showmanship.
In November 2014, KISS enjoyed a nineshow stint at the Hard Rock Hotel (appropriately enough) in Las Vegas, and Fathom Events has joined forces with MusicScreen and Eagle Rock Entertainment to bring the show-stopping concert to cinema audiences nationwide.
Tonight, “KISS Rocks Vegas” will be screened at 200 cinemas nationwide, including the Greensboro Grande Stadium 16. Fans will not only experience the unique KISS concert experience but also go behind the scenes with band members Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer in exclusive interviews and exclusive footage of their Vegas residency.
“See us on the big screen with the fellow members of the KISS army,” said Stanley in an official statement. “Feel like you are in Vegas and don’t be shy – ‘Shout it out loud!’”
“We are all tremendously proud of this production,” added Thayer. “It captures a truly unique performance. You need to see it in a cinema to get the full-on experience.”
“We rocked the joint at Hard Rock in Vegas,” Singer recalled. “You get up close and personal with KISS, (and) you’re going to love it.”
Fathom Events CEO John Rubey put it all into perspective: “If ever there was a band made to be presented larger-than-life and up on the big screen, it’s KISS.”
Leave it to Simmons to offer the final word: “Join us for a ‘Crazy Crazy Night’ at your cinema!” !
“KISS Rocks Vegas” will be screened 7 pm tonight at Greensboro Grande Stadium 16 (3205 Northline Ave., Greensboro). Tickets are $14.95. For advance tickets or more information, visit the official Fathom Events website: www.FathomEvents. com.
