Heather Meek

This one is personal: This week’s Page Three model is none other than Heather Meek, my collaborator and artistic co-conspirator. We worked together on the script for “JoBeth,” a short film for the 48 Hour Film Project which fared well enough in international competition to land us a slot at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008. As well as contributing to the script, Heather played the lead. Since then she’s cut off her dreads, re-entered school, taken a small role in Dogs of Chinatown and broken up with her boyfriend. “I’d like to get myself back out there,” she tells me. “I really do miss being involved creatively with writing, acting, art… it’s what I thrive on. For my next project I’d really, really like to, if I could, do something musically. I’m a singer and I’ve been pondering the idea of piano.” I predict you’ll be seeing more of her in these pages soon. — BC
