BRIAN WILSON: FARMER BY DAY, MUSICIAN BY NIGHT BY KAREN PHILLIPS

Brian Wilson has been singing since his eighth-grade chorus class with Mr. Bess. A member of more bands than he can count on one hand, he changed his stage name to Brian K. to eliminate any confusion with the Beach Boys visionary.

“Music has always been a part of my life and the biggest part of my heart,” Brian says. He knows how to play the guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, and is currently recording his album Taller Than The Sun.

Originally from Eden, he now lives in Greensboro with his wife, twin girls and newborn son. Brian is also a farmer, and when he’s not busy making music, he sells cacti, succulents and bonsai trees from his greenhouse to Eden’s flea market. Brian’s ultimate goal is to succeed by remaining happy with what he does, and hopes playing the music he loves will ultimately pay his bills.

“It’s not work if you love what you do, right?” Check out Brian’s music at www.soundclick.com/brianknc.
