If you happen to go to the Barn Dinner Theatre in Greensboro, you’re more than likely to see CJ Williams there performing. Williams kicked his career off starring in Love Machine and since then has performed more than 20 different shows.

“I knew I wanted to be an entertainer all my life,” said Williams. “I wanted to do this career the first day the stage lights went up and I saw people on the front row smile.”

Williams got his start at the age of 4 or 5 in the 1980s by being a background dancer for a group called the Bizzie Boys. He knew then that this was what he wanted to do.

“At that moment I knew I wanted to act and do musicals full time,” he said. “I know that sounds cliché, but it’s true.”

When he’s not at the Barn Dinner Theatre, he performs for different elementary schools, churches and daycares all over the state with Storybook Theatre. He also performs with a local band called the Mixx.

Later this year he’ll be doing shows at the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre in Wytheville, Va. Anyone who would like to contact Williams can e-mail him at or check out youtube. com/csmooth27214. !
