Frenchy Kitchen has not stayed in one place for long. Her journey stems from customer service representative to executive assistant. Through the road she is traveling, she seems to have stopped at a spot where her creativity flourishes. Frenchy Michelle Events caters to any planning need one may have, whether it be a wedding, a birthday party or anything in between.

Kitchen started along the road to find her niche when she was 19 years old. She moved to North Carolina to attend Guilford College.

“Over the years, I have studied a wide array of subjects which included having majors in theater, English, psychology and business,” Kitchen said.

Although education called out to the interest of her mind, she found an opportunity that called out to her heart.

“When a reason to celebrate came up, I was constantly putting together themed events for my family and friends,” Kitchen said.

She still takes her majors with her as she plans for weddings. One in particular: psychology.

“A lot of the wedding planner element is psychological,” Kitchen said. “It takes many hats to fill this position. I range from therapist to family member to mediator. It’s crazy and amazing and I thrive on it.

“Any event, large or small, I take pride in them all. I want to enhance the experience by unique visual concepts.”

Kitchen has planned themes such as bachelorette parties, birthday parties and corporate expos. She is currently working on a kid’s rock star birthday and a wedding.  Want to be featured as a local talent? E-mail a photo and a short bio to
