Letters from the week of Sept. 7…
Nice, empty GSO parks
So many nice parks maybe but almost every time I have gone into one’… it’s nearly empty and very boring especially in the summer when most city’s parks would be full of users.
In fact if it weren’t for the dedicated Mexican soccer community, there wouldn’t be ANY OUTDOOR LIFE at all around here! Last but not least what the f*ckin hell good is it to have ‘“so many parks’” as Cap’n Clueless extols if they’re all plastered with ‘“NO TRESPASSING Fields for Programmed use only’” signs and martial-law cops always on the lookout for illegal ‘“practicing’”?
In Guilford county ball fields are so tightly regulated and micromanaged that it’s impossible to predict when a given field will be ‘open’ for public use.(but gas is so cheap we can just drive over & see!) Ball fields are CLOSED if it’s too sunny, too rainy, a Babylonian holiday, a squirrel’s birthday or whatever else the arbitrary and omnipotent P&R bureaucrats decree at the drop of a hat.
Southern states seem to treat outdoor exercise as a PRIVILEDGE rather than a public RIGHT. No wonder they have an obesity epidemic!!!

This is going to be an uphill fight because the pols are not out for the people. They want to keep the status the same so that they can still make tax deals with special interests. It will take a massive public effort to force the pols to do the right thing. Every person needs to lobby their pols to support HR 25 or SR 25. The positions taken by each pol must be made public to put pressure on them for support.

Thanks Jordan for a beautiful article. I just wanted to let the world know that I am the mother of two beautiful daughters and two handsome sons as well. I appreciate all that you do and thank you for considering our venue. Flower Child Dance Productions was the name of the dance group too.

Preachers who collect tithes and own property are stealing under false pretenses. While, in Bible times, those who received tithes were not supposed to own property and were intended to be among the poorest in the land, today ‘“tithe-teachers’” are often very wealthy and own property. This is a scandal. Worse yet, churches treat it as a taboo, will not discuss it and often ostracize those who question it. Compare Numbers 18:20, 21; Deuteronomy 12:12; 14:27, 29; 18:1-2; Joshua 13:14, 33; 14:3; 18:7; and Ezekiel 44:28.

Please tell Scott [Pryor] that I am sooo proud of him. I remember when Lucy, his mom, was pregnant with him. He has grown up to be all that I knew he would be. After all, he is the son of Lucy and Bob Pryor!

In order to pass a Fair Tax, congress will first have to amend the Constitution.Second, the majority of inhabitants of the 50 states united are not subject to the income tax, it’s just their lack of knowing the ground rules. When is the last time you read Title 26 of the Code of Federal regulations. Research section 3401 and find the definitions of those subject to the Federal Income Tax. See the definition of ‘“Wages’”, ‘“state’”, ‘“employer and employee.’” Sub-tltie C – Employment Tax- (FICA) is only applicable to government employees and not the average American. Finally, look to see if you qualify to be a ‘“citizen of the US.’” It may surprise you to find out who really is a citizen of the US, since all 50 states are foreign to each other and the Federal Government in Washingto DC.
Ann Coulter makes me laugh
I got quite a chuckle at the rise Ann Coulter has gotten out of all the lefties. These are the very same ‘“holier than thou liberals’” that jump at the chance to be the defenders of free speech. Yet they are furious at YES! for running Ms. Coulter’s column. Readers beware: these liberals want you to only read their aganda. This means they don’t think you are intelligent enough to read a column and decide which side you favor. They would rush to Crawford to support Cindy Sheehan and her freedom of speech, but when it doesn’t fit their agenda they say, ‘“not to let Ann Coulter speak at all.’” Welcome to the modern day Democratic Party. Welcome to the height of hypocrisy.
