Local Talent: Natalia Sadeghi

Natalia Sadeghi is a girl with priorities. She was enrolled as a student at GTCC when she received news that she had won a contest sponsored by Victoria’s Secret on the strength of a video she sent in. Her prize was a week in Los Angeles and VIP treatment at the lingerie purveyor’s Pink fashion show. The decision was an easy one for the 20-year-old. “I love Victoria’s Secret,” she says. So she dropped out of school, temporarily, and headed out to LA with 29 other women. “We were treated like movie stars,” she recalls, “front-row seats to the fashion show, we went backstage, met the models.” She plans to start Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington in the fall, and until then she works as a receptionist at Golden Spiral tattoo shop in Greensboro. And for the record, she only has one tattoo: the word “qué” on the inside of her lip. “It’s Spanish for ‘What?'” she explains.
