NC Senate District 28, general election

by Yes Weekly Election Coverage

The abrupt withdrawal of Democratic incumbent Katie Dorsett just before the close of filing puts the District 28 seat up for grabs. Gladys Robinson, Dorsett’s hand-picked successor, defeated Evelyn Miller in the Democratic primary. Trudy Wade, a Greensboro city councilwoman, defeated a trio of contenders in the Republican primary. And Bruce Davis, a Guilford County commissioner, obtained a place on the ballot as an unaffiliated candidate in late June through a successful petition drive.

Gladys A. Robinson (D)

Trudy Wade (R)

Bruce Davis (U)
