North Carolina A&T State University Gallery

The collectionsof the University Galleries are the stories of the African Diasporatold on canvas, textiles, in sculpture, music and with personalpossessions. The University Galleries has two focal collections whichconstitute its permanent collection: the Mattye Reed African HeritageCollection, dedicated to the ancestral and contemporary arts of Africaand the Caribbean and the Henry Clinton Taylor Collection which centersaround the work of both emerging and established African Americanartists.Both collections and three magnificent gallery spaces are housed in thehistoric Dudley Building, originally built in 1931.
