WINSTON-SALEM/FORSYTH COUNTYSCHOOL BOARD HIRES CONSULTANT FOR SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH
The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School Board voted on Nov. 20 to hire the NC School Boards Association to assist with the search for a new superintendent to replace Don Martin next June. The association will help screen applicants, conduct background checks and coordinate logistics of interviewing semi-finalists and finalists, according to a press release from the school board.
Chairman Donny Lambeth said a number of civic and business groups have offered to pay for the services of a search firm. Among the organizations lobbying the board to bring in an outside consultant to facilitate the search was Communities Helping All Neighbors Gain Empowerment, or CHANGE.
