WOLFGANG PUCK PIZZA BAR DONATING PROCEEDS TO WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar in Greensboro is hosting a fundraising event this Memorial Day at their Friendly Shopping Center location. They will be donating 10 percent of their proceeds from the entire day to the Wounded Warrior Project, a veteran’s service organization that offers aid and resources to injured service members. They are asking the community to spread the word and come eat at Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar in Greensboro, located at 607 Green Valley Road, on Monday. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Sanctuary House is partnering with The Green Bean and A Sweet Success! Bakery to help to raise awareness for mental health by wearing green on Wed., May 21.

Community members and patrons to The Green Bean are being asked to Wear Green on May 21st to raise awareness for Mental Health.

Staff, members, and volunteers from Sanctuary House will be at The Green Bean Wed., May 21, wearing green to show support. Visit The Green Bean, located at 341 S. Greensboro native Chef Ashley Christensen, 37, has won the prestigious James Beard Award for Best Chef of the Southeast. The owner of five food businesses was born in Greensboro and moved to Kernersville at age 3. She grew up there and graduated from East Forsyth High School. After graduation, she attended N.C. State University.

She opened her first restaurant, Poole’s Diner in Raleigh, in 2007. In 2011 she opened Beasley’s Chicken + Honey – A Southern-style restaurant featuring fried chicken and down-home southern comfort foods.

Chuck’s, a burger place, and Fox Liquor Bar, both were opened the same year. Joule Coffee, a casual restaurant and coffee bar came along last year and in Aug., she opened a commissary kitchen to support her restaurants called Aux. She plans to open a private dining space and cooking classroom called Bridge Club, and a wood-fired oven restaurant called Death & Taxes. !
