FOOD DESERTS WITH SYNERG
Young professional’s group synerG is having Food Deserts Lunch & Learn June 25 from 12pm-1pm. The event will take place at the Elon University School of Law, 201 N. Greene Street in room 207.
What is a Food Desert? What are the challenges of living in a Food Desert? How are communities meeting these challenges? What can you do to help the local community? BARBECUE EATERY FEATURED ON FOOD SHOW
Local Barbecue heaven Stamey’s will be featured on a segment of “Man Fire Food,” a show hosted by Roger Mooking that airs on the cable network the Cooking Channel at 2 p.m. June 29 and 1:30 a.m. July 4.
According to reports, the segment was filmed in March and two days of filming was done in Greensboro at Stamey’s Barbecue located at 2206 High Point Road.
In the segment, Stamey’s is featured with Sweatman’s BBQ in Holly Hill, S.C. that spotlights Carolina barbecue.
