Sixth Annual Summer Soltice Celebration


Back by popular demand, the Summer Solstice Celebration will be held at the spectacular Greensboro Arboretum on Sunday, June 20. (Rain date is Sunday, June 27). This is a familyfriendly annual event that brings thousands of Triad citizens together on the longest day of the year. Don your faerie wings and glitter and meander through this mid summer night’s dream.

Face painting, butterfly release, hooping, drums and belly dancing will be showcased throughout the evening beginning at 3 p.m. You won’t want to miss the butterly release at 6 p.m. and the fire finale at 9 p.m.. You will be surrounded by wideeyed children clutching their light wands and giving thanks to the abundance and beauty of nature.

The Summer Solstice BAZAAR offers an eclectic array of merchandise and services that will delight the entire family. Beginning at 3pm, scores of local vendors will entice you into their faerie glens to dazzle you with their artistry, jewelry, clothing, and accoutrements of all kinds. Food and beverages will be available, so bring a blanket and picnic on the lawn. Also, treat yourself to a neck massage, get your glitter on and your goddess grooving at this recherch’ market.
