Really, Really Free Market to be held at Interactive Resource Center

The Interactive Resource Center in Greensboro hosts a Really, Really Free Market on May 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. Any person is invited to bring whatever items they are trying to get rid of, and any person is invited to take what they need. A person may donate, take something home, or both. The roles are not defined or mutually exclusive. The rules: No buying, no bartering, just sharing.

The Really, Really Free Market has been a periodic tradition in Greensboro since at least the mid-part of the last decade. At the Interactive Resource Center, which serves people who are homeless, at risk of being homeless or recently homeless, the emphasis is on providing material goods to help people set up housekeeping.

The center is soliciting donated items this week to stock the market, including clothing, furniture, household goods, toys, books, board games and puzzles, CDs and DVDs, plant starts and gardening supplies, garden produce and canned goods. The cent is located at 407 E. Washington St.
