Snüzz — Musician

Britt “Snüzz” Uzzell has been a professional musician for more than 20 years, working with a multitude of artists, including Ben Folds. He was diagnosed with Waldenstrom’s macroglobulnemia (a non-Hodgkins lymphoma) in July of this year. Like so many musicians, he does not have health insurance. On Sunday, some of North Carolina’s most talented musicians will be coming together to support one of their own at the Blind Tiger in Greensboro at 7 p.m. The night will feature members of some of the biggest bands in NC music history, all performing their own renditions of Snüzz’s music. The evening will also bear witness to reunions of some of Snüzz’s old bands, Big Kids and Bus Stop, as well as a performance by his current band, the Numbers. The proceeds of the show will go to benefit the Cancer Special Needs Fund, established by Spartanburg Regional Health Care System in 2005 to help relieve the burdens of everyday expenses that often go unpaid when the uninsured face serious illnesses.
