Local star chef Jay Pierce is headed back to the Triad. After a brief stint with Rocksalt in Charlotte, Pierce, who formerly worked for Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen, has been lured back to Greensboro to become Executive Chef of The Marshall Free House, a UK-inspired Gastropub and flagship restaurant for the Marty Kotis company, Kick Ass Concepts....

Chef Thompson says it’s not just a big dinner, but really a year-round deal. “I’m blown away at how many moving parts go into play for this event. You think, as chef, ‘oh, it’ll be a fun meal for 150 people,’ and it is, but when you get into the logistics, you realize there’s a lot more to it....

Participating restaurants are partnering together to raise money for the Downtown Greenway, a planned four mile walking and biking trail in the city center. You’ll find multi-course price fix dinners for $20.18, a nod to the completion date of the greenway project....
