Greensboro police responded to a report of attempted burglary at 1808 Belcrest Ave. on Sunday after a neighbor said a black woman was seen trying to pry open a window and then breaking it with a brick. When the neighbor approached, the woman fled and was later apprehended at the corner of Florida and Larkin Streets.

During the weekend of Oct. 10 and 11, three women reported a black male between 40 and 50 years old, approximately 200 pounds and between 5'10" and 6' exposing himself to them along the Battleground Park and Guilford Military Park trails. One victim reported being grabbed, but not injured in an encounter.

A poker match with about 30 players was underway in a building behind a house on Griffith Road in Winston-Salem at about 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 when three young black men armed with a short shotgun, a revolver and a semi-automatic weapon arrived. Two of the men entered through the front, and one through the side door.

The Winston-Salem Police Department, along with the fire department and Forsyth County EMS, reportedly responded to a security check near the intersection of 8 th and North Trade streets in the early afternoon of Sept. 21 upon receiving a report about a woman lying on top of a billboard.

Greensboro police arrested Raymond Jones, 21, Cal Drumgoole, 18, and a juvenile suspect after responding to a breaking-and-entering call in the Rehobeth Oaks Court area around 3 p.m. on Sept. 16. Officers spotted the suspects' vehicle as it was leaving the area, and unsuccessfully attempted a stop.

Winston-Salem police reportedly received information indicating Stephanie Matlock, 26, and Curtis Goins, 17, were attempting to poison 46-year-old Tatshiana Mehaffey by secretly placing narcotics in her coffee during a visit to Mehaffey's home on Peachtree Street at 10:25 p.m. on Sept. 9.

In the early morning hours of Sept. 6, Winston-Salem police responded to a call of a fight in progress at the intersection of Yadkinville Road and Shattalon Drive. Officers arrived on the scene to find James Gregory Swafford, 27, lying on his stomach in the middle of the intersection with several stab wounds to his upper body.

First Citizens Bank robbery

A First Citizens Bank located in Winston-Salem was robbed on Aug. 25. The suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and displayed a knife. He demanded money, and the teller handed over an undisclosed amount. The suspect left the bank on foot heading in a northerly direction.

After a month-long investigation Jon Palmieri, 32, was taken into custody by the Greensboro Police Department on Aug. 18 and charged with solicitation of a child by computer to commit an unlawful sex act. Palmieri communicated with what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl online for a month before setting up a meeting to engage in sex.
