Refreshments will be provided, as well as musical entertainment by jazz vocalist Cathy Watson, who has performed throughout the United States, Bermuda, and Europe, and will be accompanied by jazz pianist, Karen Kendrick; artwork by Stephen White, whose work has appeared in MoMA; along with a special guest appearance by author and former lead anchor at WXII 12 News, Cameron Kent.

Terri Kirby Erickson will donate 10% of every copy of Becoming the Blue Heron sold that evening, to The Centers for Exceptional Children, (The CFEC), which cares for and strives to prepare children with developmental delays, orthopedic disabilities, and/or other long-term chronic health impairments, for productive and fulfilling futures.

Says Erickson, “I’m thrilled to have an opportunity donate to such a good cause, and to celebrate poetry, music, art, and community, in such a beautiful setting.  Special thanks to ‘Readings on Roslyn’ for their sponsorship of this event.  Thanks, also, to my publisher, Press 53, and to participating artists and friends.  It’s going to be a wonderful evening!”
