Social media seminar for home furnishings industry to be held
High Point University announces that its Knabusch Shoemaker International School of Home Furnishings and Deisgn will host a social media marketing seminar for the home furnishings industry in the Francis Auditorium from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 7. The event is open to the public, but seating is limited, so pre-registration is suggested. Leslie Carothers, president of the Kaleidoscope Partnership, a social media agency for home furnishings and related industries, will be the keynote speaker. Representatives of Snug Furniture, Interior Concepts by Wanda, Furnitureland South, Brand Intelligence Group and 26.2 Group will be on hand for the seminar. City of Greensboro to hold workshop on funding sources of small businesses
The city of Greensboro’s Minority and Women Business Enterprise program is sponsoring a free briefing on identifying alternative sources of funding for small business owners from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. on Thursday at the Greensboro Public Library’s Nussbaum Room on Church Street. Representatives of Self-Help Credit Union, the NC Small Business Administration, the city’s economic development division and the Glenwood Library, which houses resources for nonprofits, will be on hand.
