Biofuels entrepreneur to speak on sustainable business

Piedmont Biofuels cofounder Lyle Estill will give a lecture on sustainable economic development on Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. at the Joseph Bryan Jr. Auditorium on the campus of Guilford College. Estill is the author of Biodiesel Power: The Passion, the People and the Politics of the Next Renewable Fuel and Small is Possible: Life in a Local Economy. The free lecture is the inaugural event in series called “Moral Choices and the Bottom Life: Sustainability and Economic Development” focused on sustainable business practices, economic development and green job creation. Other speakers in the series include Joel Makower, executive editor of, and Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, CEO of Green for All.
