Mack and Mack expands

Mack and Mack, the downtown Greensboro boutique and clothing maker, plans to open a satellite store in the Friendly Shopping Center in late April.

Potters swaps spaces Earthworks Gallery opens Friday on South Elm Street in Greensboro. Operated by Molly Lithgo and Jim Rientjes, the gallery will sell ceramics and other North Carolina-made crafts, including jewelry, soap, note cards and candles. Lithgo and Rientjes, who are both potters, operated Earthworks Studio in College Hill for more than a decade. The new store, located at 500 S. Elm St., replaces South Elm Pottery, owned and operated by Jim Gutsell. According to a press release, Gutsell is now working out of Lithgo and Rientjes’ space in College Hill.

EyeCareCenter opens second Winston-Salem location

EyeCareCenter opened its second Winston-Salem location on 4th Street, in the heart of the city’s vibrant downtown restaurant district on March 28. EyeCareCenter started in Rocky Mount in 1954 and opened its first location in Winston-Salem on Stratford Road in 1985. The practice provides comprehensive eye exams, treatment and management of ocular diseases, eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses.
