Stanley Furniture consolidates HQ in High Point
State and local officials announced on Monday that Stanley Furniture will consolidate its headquarters, including a showroom and corporate officers, in High Point. The company received a $335,000 incentives grant from the state of North Carolina in exchange for the move. The company will create 42 new jobs with a total payroll of $2.5 million and invest $4 million in its facility, according to the NC Department of Commerce. Stanley Furniture manufactures two major product lines: the Stanley brand for the adult market and the Young America brand for the children’s market. The Young America brand is manufactured in Robbinsville, a western North Carolina town where it employs 350 people. Gov. Bev Perdue attributed Stanley’s consolidation and expansion in High Point to North Carolina’s skilled and motivated workforce and supportive business climate.
