3 Girls Robbed Police responded to 3 Girls Convenience Store on North Hampton Road in Winston-Salem on Sunday at about 10:25 p.m. A store employee informed officers that three men had come into the store and demanded money. They escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The first suspect was described as 5’8” with a medium build and wearing blue Dickie shorts and shirt, a blue bandana over his face and carrying a baseball bat. The second suspect is described as 6’ with a thin build, a scar over his right eye and wearing blue jean shorts, a black T-shirt with drawing on the front, a blue bandana over his face and carrying a handgun. The third suspect is described as medium height and build, wearing a white T-shirt and a black bandana across his face. Heather Hills armed robbery Winston-Salem police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Heather Hills Business Center on West Clemmonsville Road on July 23 at about 10:53 p.m. The clerk reported that three suspects entered the business, two of them with handguns. One suspect forced him to open the register and safe at gunpoint. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen and the suspects escaped the scene going east on Clemmonsville Road possibly driving a late 1990s model red Dodge Caravan. The suspects are described as black males. The first was about 6’3” with dreadlocks and wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The second was about 6’ with short hair and wearing a dark blue T-shirt. The third was 5’8” or 5’9” wearing a black mask, black T-shirt and black jeans. Arrest made in Byrd homicide Greensboro Police Department arrested Donald Lee Ingram, 25, at about 5 p.m. on July 22 for the murder of Marie Dick Byrd, 61. Byrd was murdered in her home on East Market Street on Nov. 25, 2008. Ingram is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree arson, first-degree kidnapping and first-degree rape. He is being held at the Guilford County Detention Center without bond.

Delivery hold-up A delivery driver for Wing Zone in Winston-Salem arrived at Vista Circle Apartments to make a delivery. Upon knocking no one came to the door and he left the premise. Two suspects in the parking lot approached the driver. One was brandishing a shotgun. They took an undisclosed amount of money from him and the food he was delivering. The suspects escaped the scene on foot behind the building headed towards Hutchins Street. The suspects were described as black males, both about 6’ to 6’3”, thin, and wearing black clothing with blue bandanas over their faces.
