Greensboro police arrested Godgive Zulu, 17, on Feb. 18 for an alleged sexual assault that occurred at Page High School on Jan. 20. Zulu and a juvenile male suspect reportedly assaulted a girl that both knew. Zulu has been charged with attempted first-degree sexual offense, attempted first-degree kidnapping, felony conspiracy, two counts of sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. An investigation is reportedly ongoing.
Francisco Octavio Gutierrez- Ramirez, 28, of Lexington, was sleeping in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Platinum Diamonds in Winston- Salem waiting for friends who were inside the nightclub in the early morning hours of Feb. 20 when an unknown man smashed the driver’s side window with a crowbar, struck him in the face and pulled him out. Police found Gutierrez at the nightclub with a laceration to his face and an apparent stab wound to his side. Gutierrez told the officers that the unknown assailant demanded his wallet and took some money, after which the two struggled with each other. The assailant fled the area, and Gutierrez was taken to Baptist Hospital for treatment. Police said he was in stable condition with injuries considered life threatening at the time of the report.
Three white men wearing ski masks and dark clothing walked into the Medcap Pharmacy on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday and forced three employees to hand over an undisclosed amount of drugs from the pharmacy and cash from the store. They left in a white GMC van possibly driven by a fourth person. The van was last seen heading west on Reynolda Road.
