GIVE ’EM A CIGARETTE AND THEY’LL…

Brian Bigelow, 25, reportedly asked Demonte Tingler for a cigarette in front of the Budget Inn on Farragut Street in Greensboro in the early morning hours of March 30, and then took an undisclosed amount of money from him before fleeing on foot. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit established a perimeter that resulted in the capture of Bigelow, who was charged with common-law robbery and held under a $10,000 bond.

ARRESTS MADE IN MURDER

The Winston-Salem Police Department has made three arrests in response to the murder of 20-year-old Timothy Christopher Revel. At about 11:36 p.m. on March 27, officers found Revel suffering from an apparent gunshot wound on the 1200 block of North Liberty Street. Revel later died from the shooting at Baptist Hospital. The police arrested 20-year-old Nicholas Dalton on Manly Street and charged him with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a concealed weapon. Dalton’s court date has been set for April 23.

ARREST MADE IN CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERY

The Winston-Salem Police Department has charged 32-year-old Theaon Denard Joe with robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with an armed robbery that took place at Circle K on University Parkway on March 20. Joe’s bond was set at $100,000, and he was expected to appear in court on Monday. During the incident, the suspect walked into the store, pulled out a handgun and demanded money before taking an undisclosed amount and driving away in a white vehicle.

DRIVE-THRU CONVENIENCE IN MCDONALDS ROBBERY

Two black men estimated to be in their early twenties to early thirties drove up to the first drive-thru window at the McDonalds restaurant on Jonestown Road in Winston-Salem in a dark-colored SUV at about 5 p.m. on April 2. The driver got out of the SUV and walked up to the second drive-thru window, pulled out a handgun and demanded money, grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and hopped back in the SUV. The two men drove away on US Highway 421 traveling north.
