WINSTON-SALEM MAN KILLED IN HOMICIDE
Belton Javon Jones, 22, of Winston- Salem, died at Baptist Hospital on Monday as a result of a gunshot wound inflicted in the parking lot of an apartment complex on East Hanes Mill Road at about 4 a.m. on Dec. 17. ATTEMPTED B&E AT GREENSBORO FAMILY DOLLAR
Police responded to a burglary alarm at the Family Dollar on East Cone Boulevard at about 3:45 a.m. on Dec. 17. Responding officers located Michael D. Agnew, 38, on the roof of the business and placed him under arrest for attempted robbery.
ARMED ROBBERY IN GREENSBORO WAL-MART PARKING LOT
A woman was sitting in her car in the Wendover Avenue Wal-Mart parking lot waiting for her son when a man put a gun in her face and demanded her car keys and purse. After receiving the items the suspect fled into a waiting two-door, early 1990a, gray car that was last seen driving on Bridford Parkway toward Guilford College Road. The suspect is described as a 35-year-old black man, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches with a heavy build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black coat and dark clothing. WINSTON-SALEM MAN ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY
James David Footman, 38, of Winston- Salem, was arrested on Dec. 15 and charged with common-law robbery in the Dec. 9 incident at a CVS Pharmacy at 3186 Peters Creek Parkway. Footman is being held under a $20,000 bond with a court date set for Jan 7.
