GREENSBORO MAN WAKES UP TO AN ASSAULT AND BURGLARY
Greensboro police reported that Jimmy Washington was a victim of an assault and burglary while at his Autumn Drive home on Monday. Washington woke up to find two suspects assaulting him and ransacking his bedroom. The two men had gained entry by forcing open the front door. Washington was later transported to the hospital to have his injuries treated. There was no suspect information at the time of the report.
GUNSHOT FATALITY IN GREENSBORO
Kitrell Vesave Duncan, 33, was shot outside of his residence on Everitt Street in Greensboro on April 26. He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his wound. Authorities don’t believe it was a random act of violence and the investigation is ongoing.
MAN SHOT IN EARLY MORNING ROBBERY
Anthony Womack was shot while at an ATM on Bessemer Avenue in Greensboro during the early morning hours of April 29. He was approached by three men, one of them showing a handgun, who demanded his money. After surrendering his possessions, the suspects shot Womack and fled. Womack was treated for a non-life threatening wound and the investigation is ongoing.
TROUBLE ON AVALON ROAD IN GREENSBORO
Greensboro police report that there was a kidnapping and burglary at 827 Avalon Road on April 25. The suspect, identified as Bobby Earl Mills, broke into the victim’s residence and assaulted her. The victim was able to escape into a vehicle but was then followed and threatened by Mills with a knife. There were no injuries. Mills has since been arrested and the investigation is ongoing. Greensboro police also report that there was a break in at 411 Avalon Road Unit D on May 1. The victim told police that two suspects entered her apartment, restrained her and then escaped with the her property. There were no injuries and the investigation is ongoing.
