TWO LIVES CLAIMED IN MURDER- SUICIDE
Greensboro police reported that a man and a woman were victims of a murder-suicide that took place on Josephine Circle on May 27. Police indicated that Christina Marie Maxa-Gross, 33, was shot and killed by Noah Adams, 32, who later turned the gun on himself. A 9-year-old boy was inside the residence at the time of the shooting and made the 911 call. The investigation is ongoing.
HIGHWAY SHOOTING IN GREENSBORO
Two men called Greensboro police after gunshots were fired into their car on Sunday. Victor Gonzalez and Marcos Mantino were driving eastbound on Interstate 40 and reached the exit at Highway 68 when a gray vehicle pulled beside them and a passenger fired several shots at their car. No injuries were reported and the investigation continues.
WINSTON-SALEM POLICE SHOTOUT ENDS IN DEATH
A Winston-Salem man has died after a standoff with police on May 25. Authorities were called to Reynolds Park Road because Donald Ray Moore, 64, was reportedly acting in an erratic manner. Negotiations failed with Winston-Salem police and Moore fired his handgun at the officers. The officers returned fire and entered the home to find Moore dead from gunshot wounds. No officers were injured and the investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED MURDER-SUICIDE IN WINSTON-SALEM
A woman is being charged with first-degree kidnapping and first-degree attempted murder after she and her grandson were found semiconscious in a Winston-Salem hotel room on May 26. Winston-Salem police discovered that Angela Lynch kidnapped her 5-year-old grandson from Christiansburg, Va. and took him to Winston-Salem. Once inside the Hampton Inn Suites on Summit Square Court, Lynch tried to take the boy’s life and her own through consuming various medications. Both victims survived and the Christiansburg, Va. police department are continuing the investigation.
