Police investigating death on McConnell Road

Greensboro police are investigating the death of 43-year-old Marvin Alexander Hart. Police responded to McConnell Road, where Hart lived, in response to a call of a “subject down” and found Hart suffering from a laceration around 10 p.m. on April 3. Police did not say what the suspected cause was or if there are any suspects. Hart died while receiving attention at Moses Cone hospital.

Suspects shoot at victim in attempted robbery

Two men in ski masks allegedly approached the victim in a parking lot on the 5600 block of West Market Street in Greensboro and tried to rob him around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday. The victim said the men came up behind him as he left his vehicle and said he ran when they told him to get on the ground. The suspects fired three shots at him, missing but hitting two parked cars. The investigation is ongoing.

Missing woman returns home

One day after Greensboro police put out a missing person report for Sophia Ann Marie Harvey, 38, she contacted the police department to say she returned home. The police made an announcement for the public’s assistance on April 4 to help find Harvey, who is safe and un-harmed, after a colleague reported she had not been seen since March 29.

Victim robbed in apartment

Greensboro police responded to a robbery on the 1800 block of Hudgins Drive on April 7 around 10:30 p.m. The victim said she was outside an apartment when two men armed with handguns approached her, forcing her inside the apartment and stealing an undisclosed amount of cash and property from her per- son. The press release did not say whose apartment it was or if anything was taken from the residence.
