It is with a heavy heart that I report the closing of Vintage 301 in Greensboros Southside neighborhood. It had been my familys favorite brunch place for years, and my wife and I often marveled at the beer selection, which included labels carried by no other place in town. It, along with Chef/ owner Ben Sullivan, will be missed, and we look forward to his next venture....

The short film Heavy Metal Parking Lot is not exactly a piece of found footage it was made by two professional videographers for a slot on a cable access station in 1986 and has since become an underground hit but it will still open the Found Footage Film Festivals Saturday night presentation at the Idiot Box because well, its awesome....

The High Point Road location of Darryls in Greensboro is the last of the venerable North Carolina-based franchise, begun in 1971 and eventually comprised of 36 restaurants in nine states. And it was here that the company decided to make its last stand....
