MLK Day of Service -- Triad Expansion Site
In 1994, Congress designated the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday as a national day of service. Join hundreds of thousands of people from across the country on January 19, 2009 by honoring Dr. King through community action and volunteerism. The Triad of NC was chosen as a national expansion site by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Come and help us show the nation the Triad's commitment to realizing Dr. King's dreams of social justice and equality by volunteering on MLK Day 2009! For more information on the Triad's efforts, check out www.mlkdaytriadnc.org. To find a volunteer project, or to register one for your organization, head to www.mlkday.gov and search "Triad NC."
