Artist Exhibit: Enzo Bellini
Starting January 24, Raffaldini Vineyards will proudly display the work of Italian artist, Enzo Bellini, in our gallery upstairs until February 8.
Bellini's work is renowned in Italy and around the world, showing nature's beauty in the bucolic settings of the Italian countryside. Some of Bellini's art has been inspired by the Raffaldini's hometown of Manuta, Italy and its environs.
Mr. Bellini's work has also been displayed in galleries throughout Manuta. About the Artist: Born in 1932 in Santa Sofia in the Italian state of Romagna, Bellini shares his home with famous Roman playwright Plautus, poet Giovanni Pascoli and movie director Federico Fellini; not to mention well-known muses Sangiovese and Albana.
In the 1960s, Bellini moved to Milan to face the challenging world of Italy's capital of art & design. There he worked as a scenography painter at the "Piccolo" theater, which was on its way to becoming the most influential and innovative theatrical institution in Italy. He finally left the Piccolo to follow his passion towards creative painting and drawing. In 1972, Bellini's first personal exhibit opened at La Nuova Sfera gallery.
Featuring aquafortis engravings and sepia drawings, Bellini's success at the event landed him a spot in art historian Raffaele De Grada's "Bolaffi" catalog of printed art. Bellini's art has progressed along with his recognition into the 21st century.
