Details: FREE FAIR OFFERS RESOURCES FOR JOB SEEKERS “Take Charge of Your Future” helps Triad residents forge new career paths Greensboro, NC (4/9/2010) - Out of a job, or stuck in a rut, and not sure what to do next? The job market is rough, but there are still options! It’s time to Take Charge of Your Future and decide what you want to do for a living. The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is hosting a free alternative jobs and service fair. Take Charge of Your Future: Resources for Alternative Jobs and Service will be held on Friday, April 9th, 3pm - 7 PM, at the Greensboro Central Library, 219 N. Church Street in downtown Greensboro. All are welcome. Take Charge of Your Future is designed to help empower Triad residents during these tough economic times. AFSC and its partners will provide resources to help attendees find and develop alternative jobs, internships, and service opportunities. Skills training, certification contacts, useful Internet links, and information on increasing your income and reducing your outgo will be offered. Details: The Surry Arts Players present Gideon, a play that explores the relationship of an ordinary man with God through the story of Gideon, a judge in the Old Testament. Written by Paddy Chayefsky, Gideon is a play of “enormous power, humor, and persuasion” (NY Journal-American) and enjoyed a very successful run on Broadway in 1961. Performances will be Friday and Saturday April 9th and 10th at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, April 11th at 3:00 PM in the Andy Griffith Playhouse. Admission is $10.
