Oct. 2 — Democratic NC House District 60 candidate Marcus Brandon hosts an all-day cookout at his house, located at 907 Thissell St. in High Point, and cleanup of the Burnshill neighborhood.

Oct. 5 — Republican NC Senate District 27 candidate Jeff Hyde appears at a candidate forum at the Friends Home in Greensboro from 2 to 5:30 p.m.

Oct. 6 — Jeff Hyde appears at Wine Styles in the Shops at Friendly Center in Greensboro at 6 p.m. Clay Howard provides music on acoustic guitar.

Oct. 13 — The Greensboro Partnership and SynerG host a candidates forum featuring state legislative candidates at the International Civil Rights Center and Museum at 6 p.m.

Oct. 14 — Conservatives for Guilford hosts a Tea Party at Governmental Plaza in downtown Greensboro beginning at 10 a.m.

Oct. 15 — Republican US House District 13 candidate Bill Randall will be at the Mayo Lake festival in Roxboro from 6 to 10 p.m.
